Meetings and lectures

Monthly meetings open to all

The Society organises monthly meetings in Helsinki, except during the summer months (when members collect minerals).

The meetings are open to all public. An entry fee of 5 euros is charged from non-members.

The date and place of meetings are published in the KIVI magazine, on this website, and we offer the information to be published in the local newspaper Helsingin Sanomat, in the Minne mennä column.
An article is often also published in the magazine on the subject of the lecture at the monthly meeting.

The meetings are held in the premises of the Society, address Lääkärinkatu 8, building nr. 8, 00250 Helsinki. The buidling is known as the ”stone chapel”, formerly a chapel inside the hospital area, by the wall bordering the central park.

Information on events of other rock clubs

Information on member eveningsand activities  organised by other Finnish rock and mineral clubs are also included in the KIVI magazine. We update the data in our magazine as the clubs inform us.
